Old Shelter

The shelter "Battalion Alpine M. Granero", rises in place Long Lake. Built in masonry (2 plain), the building prepared of 22 places.

Next to the Mountain Granero, to a quota of m. 2377 it is the oldest  Alpine Shelters. The structure is of 1926. The inauguration of the shelter happened July 22 1928.

Recently restructured and widened it is able to offer lodging to fifty persons. it remains open uninterruptedly from the third week of June to on September 15. (In line with meteorological conditions).

Two capacious lunch rooms, are able to entertain more than 60 persons. There is the public telephone and of emergency, warm shower, electric current and hygienic servants. (In 2005, near shelter, has been installed a hydroelectric central)
